It’s mostly colorful, man-on-the-street interviews – and no real analysis or reporting on how South Africa’s largest city got to this point. (And the comment board makes much of that.)
Plenty has been reported on the corruption of SA’s ruling party, and the growing chaos in the country at large. But there’s been little on-the-ground coverage that gives a real idea of what life is like there these days. Wexler is the WSJ’s South Africa correspondent, based in Johannesburg.
